Blue dress / skirt

Day 2 of salon hair.  Well timed workout schedule and a bit of dry shampoo means you can get the effortless smooth salon hair for a second day.
This outfit is actually a dress with a shirt over it.  The dress is a halter top which shows way too much skin for work, so I added this yellow shirt and knotted it right at my waist.

I wore this to work on a meeting filled day.  Professional but still summery and super girly.

yellow dress goes to the salon

Yellow dress went to the salon today!  I got pampered like crazy with a haircut and blonde highlights.
There are also some red pieces on the bottom layers.  A little more subtle than I had in mind, but that's okay.  You can kind of get a hint of them in this photo.
I spent the afternoon having cocktails with a few dear friends.  We ate outside and I sunburnt my back.
Hair is perfect for catching the breeze!

Orange dress

On a summer weekend, the right sun dress is all you need.   I wore this outfit while my dad taught me how to drive stick shift.  It was scary, but not too bad!  I got the hang of it after an hour or so.
This Anthropologie dress is the perfect fit and bright color.  No effort needed to look put together.

bright green twirly skirt

I wore this outfit to work to work to meet with a new client.  It's probably a little more bright and exposed back-ish than you would expect for professional setting, but I decided that the shoes class it up.

This is actually a dress, usually worn by me to weddings.  I added the top and tied it at my waistline to create the right proportion.
I love the way it twirls.

Fashion show for the local wildlife

I wore this outfit to work on a day with a guest meeting.  The skirt was thrifted by my mother and has become a staple piece for looking like a professional in the summertime.

The husband and I were taking photos in our backyard when we heard a rustling.  Turns out a family of raccoons was having a grand old time exploring some of the bits and bobs in our neighbor's half of the yard. We did not quite capture just how many there were.  I spotted at least five or so, but our camera is not cut out for dusk wildlife photography.

Black, white and yellow

This is a classic outfit choice when I want to look like an event planner.  Comfortable, modest, professional looking.  I had an event at the Museum of Art today so I wore this to be in charge.  Hair was in braids but I took them out for the evening, leaving my hair extra big and curly.

Stripey skirt

This skirt was another hand me down from a friend of mine.  It has a funny waist with a ribbon but no elastic, so you have to tie it nice and tight for it to stay on.  I wore this to Sunday dinner at my parent's house.
